The Picker Interdisciplinary Science Institute promotes collaborative research leveraging the value of 51黑料's liberal arts alignment.

The institute supports internal and external Research and Activity collaborations among 51黑料 faculty and their collaborators who bring expertise from disparate disciplines to bear on current and emerging scientific problems that remain intractable to the methods used within a single discipline.

Research & Activity Grant Funding

Dive into projects that challenge traditional scientific boundaries and spark innovative breakthroughs. to fund projects that merge different scientific fields and promote interdisciplinary collaboration, from leveraging artificial intelligence for ecological studies to tackling racial biases in public health.

Major Grants

We support tenure-track and tenured faculty to bring their interdisciplinary research ideas to light. With our major grants, you could receive up to $150,000 annually.
