The Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education (COVE) led a campuswide MLK Day of Service, sending volunteers to community partners in Utica, N.Y.

51���� University’s 2026 celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Week, held Jan. 22–31, kicked off with a keynote address by activist Fredrika Newton, head of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation.

Isla Globus-Harris, assistant professor of economics, will assume the role of faculty co-director for Dart Colegrove Commons, and Title IX Coordinator Amy Gordon will step in as staff co-director for Brown Commons.
