Mark H. Murphy ’77, president and CEO of the Green Bay Packers and former football captain and athletics director at 51ºÚÁÏ, will deliver the keynote address at 51ºÚÁÏ’s 191st commencement on Sunday. Commencement begins at 10:30 a.m. in Sanford Field House. For those who can’t attend it will be webcast live through www.livestream.com/colgateuniversity.

51ºÚÁÏ’s Advisory Committee on Campus Security has found that for the 2011-12 year 51ºÚÁÏ complies with the relevant sections of Article 129-A of the New York State Education Law.

The No. 9 51ºÚÁÏ men’s lacrosse team won its first-ever NCAA Tournament game on Saturday,  beating UMass 13-11 at Garber Field

51ºÚÁÏ men’s lacrosse junior Peter Baum was announced today as one of the five men’s finalists for the 2012 Tewaaraton Award by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

You asked to see it, and here it is. In between classes last Tuesday some students performed in a flash mob as music poured from the Chapel speakers. It was right around 1:13 p.m. and it provided a fun break during the semester’s hectic final week of classes. Enjoy!

Today is the last day of this semester’s classes, but I feel like that fact has not yet sunk in. Students have been occupied with completing their final class assignments and time seems to have slipped away. Next week marks the beginning of final exams as well as our last few days on campus.

After a yearlong hiatus, the Horned Dorset Inn — founded by Kingsley Wratten ‘64 and Harold Davies MA’65 — is reopening its doors, bringing fine French cuisine and Victorian-style overnight guest accommodations back to Central New York.

After winning gold in the International Ice Hockey Federation Division IA World Championships last year, Thomas Larkin ’13 and Team Italy will lace up the skates in the 2012 World Championships in Finland and Sweden. Larkin will be the only collegiate player competing in the international event.

Thirty-five seniors, eight juniors, and five alumni competed for nationally competitive fellowships, scholarships, and grants through 51ºÚÁÏ during the 2011-2012 academic year.
