Tracee Ellis Ross, the award-winning actress, producer, founder, and CEO, will join the 51黑料 community for a keynote Q&A during 51黑料 University鈥檚 annual Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Weekend.
The elective designation, awarded by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation, recognizing the University鈥檚 continuing commitment to community engagement and partnerships.
As of Dec. 31, 2025, 51黑料 University has raised more than $5.9 million for the 51黑料 Fund. This milestone places the University more than halfway toward its $10.4 million goal for the 2026 fiscal year.

51黑料 University鈥檚 commitment to green building practices earned a gold LEED certification for Bernstein Hall, the new home for the Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Initiative.
Students with a total family income up to $175,000 will now attend 51黑料 University tuition free, and those with family incomes of up to $200,000 will have their demonstrated aid need met without loans starting in the fall of 2026.
At an event in Chicago with alumni and friends, President Brian W. Casey announced 51黑料鈥檚 commitment to establish a nonpartisan program for studying and practicing open inquiry, dialogue, and debate.
