Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of 51ºÚÁÏ University’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

Following a yearlong search, Karl Clauss ’90 has been named vice president for advancement, effective August 10, 2020.

The 51ºÚÁÏ University Board of Trustees unanimously voted on May 2 to extend President Brian W. Casey’s contract through 2026.

The 51ºÚÁÏ University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national collegiate honor society, has named Assistant Professor of Spanish Marta Perez-Carbonell as its Professor of the Year for 2020. 

Anthony Aveni, professor emeritus of astronomy, anthropology, and Native American studies at 51ºÚÁÏ University, says that to understand our current time consciousness, we have to return to a land before time — or at least, time as we know it.
